Angel Locsin: ‘Ayokong mag-entertain ng mga negative’

Angel Locsin celebrated her 25th birthday last April 23 with the grand opening of her new business venture, Fuel Up Bar and KTV in Don Antonio, Quezon City. One of her guests that night was Parokya Ni Edgar vocalist Chito Miranda, who has long been rumored to be courting Angel, if not already her boyfriend for some time already. The Buzz interviewed Angel and asked if there’s really romance brewing between her and the musician. Instead of answering on her own, Angel called Chito to join in the interview to tell the viewers what’s really the score between them. Chito joked at first, but quickly denied claims of romance. “Hindi (ako nanliligaw kay Angel). Friends (lang kami). (We’re) part of a big group.” Another rumor accuses Chito of being a bad influence to Angel, allegedly being the one who encourages her into a life of party and alcohol. The singer just said, “B.I. ako sa lahat ng friends ko hindi lang kay Angel. B.I., Best Influence.” Angel also had a follow up answer, “Hindi B.I (bad influence) ‘yan!”

On the other hand, controversies about her former manager Becky Aguila continue to plague Angel since they parted ways. Many write ups claim that in an interview, Angel challenged her former manager to a fist fight so as to put an end to all the ugly gossip. Apparently, it was also rumored that the negative issues were all coming from Becky. Angel only had a smirk on her face upon hearing this. “Ewan ko. Siguro darating ka na lang sa point na wala ka nang masagot, hindi mo na alam ang isasagot mo.” But the actress gave a short answer to whether or not she believes Becky is capable of such kind of ‘black propaganda’ against her. “Siguro tanungin niyo na lang si Tita Becky bakit may lumalabas na ganung issue.” Angel then pleaded to those people desperately fabricating lies to bring her down. “Uy positive naman tayo. Masaya naman. Wag niyo naman akong gawing depressed.Gusto kong maging masayahing tao. Wala naman akong ginagawang masama sa inyo. Pero wala, good vibes na lang ako. Ayokong mag-entertain ng mga negative.”

For now the actress is channeling her positive energy to her return to primetime TV via Imortal where she is paired with young drama king John Lloyd Cruz. “Exciting kasi iba ‘yung project talaga. Magical. Super looking forward ako working with Direk Chito (Roño) and of course si John Lloyd. Hinintay ko siya for almost a year. Now may chance na akong makatrabaho siya because naiintriga talaga ako sa kanya.”

In a separate interview , The Buzz tried to get Ms. Aguila’s view on the controversy and the talent manager just sent a short message in response to this. “Maayos ang naging paghihiwalay naminni Angel. Wala kaming issue.”
