In preparation for their upcoming movie, Angel Locsin revealed that she and future leading man Aga Muhlach have been spending time together to be more comfortable around each other. “Nagba-bonding kami ni Kuya Aga everyday. Iba kasi ‘yung story, eh. Kahit na si Kuya Aga ilang pelikula na ang nagagawa sobrang excited siya kasi ang galing ng pagkakasulat talaga,” the actress said.
Aside from Aga, Angel is also working with acclaimed director Olivia Lamasan for the first time. “Alisto kami, ‘di ba? Ako, bilang isang baguhang artista first na hahawakan ni Inang (Director Olive) first time makakatrabaho si Kuya Aga, kaya kailangan paghandaan.” She also reassured that the story is something new and that their roles are different from what they have portrayed before.
Angel revealed that as she and Aga are getting to know each other, she discovered that Aga is still humble even if he is already an icon in show business. “Napakasimple. Alam mo kahit antagal-tagal na niya sa industriyang ito, walang bahid ng ka-showbiz-an.”
Angel added that as part of her preparations, she has been training rigidly to become physically fit. “Kasi kailangan and para rin naman sa akin, kasi masarap maging healthy. As much as possible nagwo-work out ako, tumatakbo ako.”
Even if Aga is 15 years older than Angel, the actress is not worried that people would not find them credible as a couple in their film. “Ang tao naman matalino. Hindi naman kami gagawa ng movie dahil love team kami,” she explained. “Nandito kami para gampanan at bigyang buhay ang storyang nilikha ng wirter. Hindi naman kami, ‘Hoy halika dito lokohin natin ‘yung tao love team tayo.’” Angel is also confident that Aga could still get away with it because he looks younger than 40. “Makikita mo ‘yung mukha ni Kuya Aga, masasabi mo ba kung ilang taon na siya, lalo na ngayon ang payat na niya.”
While Angel admitted she is nervous about a love scene that they will be doing, she said she is also nervous about playing opposite an actor as talented as Aga.
