Angel Locsin spoke up about the controversy involving her friends from their group, Ampalaya Anonymous. Some of her friends had allegedly ganged up on Pauleen Luna because she was being linked to showbiz newcomer JC Tiuseco who reportedly had something going with Ampalaya member Maxene Magalona. To defend Maxene, Cristine Reyes, Bianca King, Glaiza de Castro, and Bubbles Paraiso allegedly posted nasty comments against Pauleen on a social networking site.
Angel began by saying that Ampalaya Anonymous started out as a joke and that she is surprised that some people are putting unpleasant labels on their group. “Nakakatawa lang kasi tingin sa amin ng iba is gang. Hindi naman kami nagmi-meet para magsiraan tayo ng tao tapos wala lang. Siyempre mga busy rin lang kami,” she explained.
The actress said that although most of the members of the group are her friends, she is not close to all of them. She also said that she does not know the full details about the controversy, but revealed that she and Pauleen have recently communicated and that everything is okay between them.
She also defended Maxene, who supposedly encouraged her group-mates to post disparaging comments about Pauleen on Twitter. “Mas maganda kasi kung ang ganitong mga bagay napag-uusapan namin nang private,” Angel explained. “Hindi ‘yung lumalaki dahil napag-uusapan namin sa media. Sa trabahong ito kokonti lang tayo magsisiraan pa ba tayo? Napakaliit na isyu puwedeng gawan ng paraan.”
She said that as far as she knows, no one in her group has done such a thing. “Ang tao hindi perpekto pero hindi naman dahil may naririnig tayo ay totoo.” She also gave a plea for people to givethe group the benefit of the doubt. “Paano namin makikilala ang tao kung sarado yung utak mo. Hindi po kami perpekto pero hindi naman po kami masasamang tao.”
Angel also clarified that while she will defend her friends, she would not tolerate any wrongdoing on their part either. “Makakarinig talaga sa akin pero hindi kita iiwan.”
