Jason Francisco welcomes doing a kissing scene with Maja Salvador

Never in Jason Francisco’s life did he ever imagine that he would meet his showbiz crush Maja Salvador, let alone work with her in a teleserye. Now the Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Third Big Placer, together with his real life “sweety pie” Melai Cantiveros, are part of Precious Hearts Romances presents Impostor top-billed by Maja and Sam Milby. Jason said that as part of the TV drama, he will do his best so as not to be an embarrassment to Maja.

In Impostor, Jason plays Popoy, a barrio boy who romantic feelings for his best friend Devin, played by Melai. When Devin encounters an accident and undergoes plastic surgery to look like super model Mariz, played by Maja, Popoy is devastated. Jason was asked if he would be thrilled should he be asked to do a kissing scene with his long-time crush.

For now the 22-year-old Mindoreño is just thankful that his big time co-stars Sam and Maja went out of their way to make him and Melai feel comfortable as part of the Impostor cast. Jason shared that Sam and Maja are now treating him like a longtime friend.

Jason also confessed that he never aspired to become an actor. If he had, he would’ve participated in more school plays back when he was still a student.

Nevertheless, after putting his heart in and mind on the workshop as preparation for Impostor, Jason was able to give justice to his role as Popoy, much to the satisfaction of Direk Jerome Pobocan. The director shared, “I found it challenging when I was told na makakasama sina Melai and Jason, noong kino-conceptualize pa ‘yung show. Of course hindi pa sila mga actor. They’re newcomers. Pero makikita niyo naman they’re very competent in the craft. They were able to perform. Medyo mahirap nung umpisa pero kinaya naman.
