Paul Jake Castillo tells the 'Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 housemates to have fun

Just a couple of months after his life as a housemate ended, Paul Jake Castillo sat down in the audience to watch the kick-off presentation of Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 where a new batch of housemates were welcomed. In a recent interview with ABS-CBN.com, Paul Jake said it was weird for him to see other people go through the same experience he had. “It was very funny. I was watching in the audience. Looking at the faces of the new housemates, nasasabi ko, ‘I know what he’s thinking! I know what he’s going through right now!’”

What can the Pinoy Big Brother Double Up Second Big Placer advise the new housemates in their life inside the PBB house? “Just enjoy your stay inside the house. Be sure you excel in every task.” During his stay as a housemate, Paul Jake, an entrepreneur from a rich clan in Cebu, gained fame for being competitive and excelling in most tasks given by Kuya.

After he left the PBB house, Paul Jake would be greeted enthusiastically by fans, especially young girls who would ask for a picture and an autograph. “Hindi na kami masyado makapunta sa mga crowded places like mga malls because sinasabihan kami na baka pagkaguluhan kami. Lalo na kapag ang kasama mo e sina Melai (Cantiveros) and Jason (Francisco, the hit love team of PBB Double Up). Sobrang nagkakagulo ‘yung mga tao sa kanila. They want to hang out with us, pero kapag marami nang tao, sasabihin nila, ‘Sige, mamaya na lang.’”

The 25-year-old Cebuano made his acting debut along with his PBB Double Up friends in Your Song presents Isla which was top-billed by former PBB teen housemate and now “action-drama prince” Gerald Anderson. “Sa first taping day grabe ‘yung kaba ko. Pero sa mga sumunod medyo nabawasan na rin ‘yung kaba. Naging comfortable na rin ako. Good thing ang kasama ko sa Isla e ‘yung mga kasama ko rin sa PBB kaya close na kami lahat agad. We had so much fun sa set. Bukod sa taping siya, kailangan focused sa work, we were also having fun together,” he shared.

For now Paul Jake is having a great time with showbiz life. He said he will take advantage of whatever opportunities that may come his way. But when the time comes that he may have to retire, he is very much ready to go back to his old life. “I am pursuing showbiz projects for as long as projects are coming my way. Pero kung wala nang offer sa akin, go back to the old life na lang,” he explained.

Paul Jake admitted that although his family and girlfriend are happy that he is giving showbiz a try, they are having problems with his busy schedule. “Of course hindi maiiwasan namaka-affect ‘yung mga changes. From a nobody bigla akong naging kilala. Naging busy na rin because of the taping. Less time na ‘yung napagsasamahan namin ng my girlfriend. Kahit na we’re both here in Manila, based na ako dito, ang hirap pa rin kasi nga busy rin ako sa taping. The thought na pareho kaming nasa Manila but we can’t find the time to be together, it sucks.”
