Kim Chiu clarifies a controversy involving a resort in Boracay

Once again, Kim Chiu is being accused of having an attitude problem after she reportedly got dismayed with her designated hotel for ASAP XV’s summer special in Boracay last March. Previous reports from The Buzz Magasin claimed that she felt bad because her other colleagues where checked in a more upscale resort while she was assigned to a place a bit farther from their show’s venue. But the young actress was quick to clarify that it was just a matter of miscommunication in all the parties concerned. “Hindi ko talaga sila nilait, sobrang ganda ng kwarto ko, tsaka bago yung suite. Kaya lang nakapag-book na ako (sa ibang hotel) so tumatakbo na yung bayad ko Saturday pa lang hanggang Sunday (nung weekend na yun). Pero sinabi sa akin ng handler ko na kailangan ko matulog dun (sa na-assign sa aking hotel),” she explained in an interview with Showbiz News Ngayon.

Kim further shared that she was really bothered with what happened as she’s not the kind of person who would badmouth an establishment or anyone for that matter. Nevertheless, she apologized to the hotel’s management for the whole mix-up. “Siguro misunderstanding lang. Tsaka pasensya kung ganoon yung inisip nila sa akin. ‘Tsaka na-bother nga din ako dun e. Sabi ko, ‘Hay... Parang ang sama-sama kong tao sa sinulat nila.”

Kim also answered the latest controversy involving her group of friends known as “churigogobaschu,” which includes Erich Gonzales, Beauty Gonzales, Kitkat, and Empress Schuck. They were said to be bullying a certain young actress who is supposedly at odds with Erich, which is not true according to the Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo star. “Sino naman si young actress na ‘yan? Wala naman kaming karapatang mang-away dahil hindi naman namin hawak ang kung sino mang tao. Napakasama naman ng balitang ‘yan. Kaming mga churigogobaschu, mabait kami. At saka alam ko sa Twitter ‘yan. Kahit sino nga sa amin walang ganon e. Hindi naman kami palaaway. Napakababaw naman ng hobby na maging palaaway.”

As to the rumors that she has become arrogant ever since she became a bankable actress, Kim admitted that she’s deeply affected with all the negative issues that are constantly being linked to her. “Minsan naba-bother, minsan naiiyak kasi parang hindi ko mapagtatanggol yung sarili ko. Parang bakit, bakit nila ginagawa ito? So parang bahala na sila. Hindi ko madya-judge lahat ng tao. Kung ano gusto nila isipin sa akin, hayaan ko na lang,” she finally stated.
